You are to identify one story of aggression reported via the media (news report, internet article/site, newspaper) within the last 30 days. This can range from anything to something local like an altercation in a small neighborhood to something that receives national attention.
1) Summarize the story. Do not forget to summarize and write this as if your reader has no background knowledge of the event.
2) Provide your own opinion about the article. Here are some things to think about; what kind of aggression was this (instrumental, emotional, reactive)? How do the demographics of the aggressor contribute to the incident if at all? Why do you think this happened? Does where the incident to place play a role at all? Was this something that could have been avoidable (perhaps through intervention of another person, legislation being in place, proactive thinking, etc. depending on the context)? It is acceptable to you the first person in this section.
