Question

I am in an 8 week intensive course in which my teacher has requested we submit an annotated outline for our final

paper. Seeing as it is only week 3, I am very confused. It is a research paper that requires lots of research. How are we supposed to be prepared to submit an annotated outline when we haven’t had time to research our topic? Also, what exactly does an annotated outline look like?
