Of all the employees the company recognizes, the board of directors picks one person that is named “employee of the year.” The person to whom that is awarded to receives a $5,000 bonus and a vacation. The company says that its’ awards are among the most generous for employees. At last year’s event, the chairman of the board shaked hands with all the employees, complemented them for their work and spoke about the company’s goals. “Thank you all very much for what you do”, he said. “None of what this company has done would of been possible without you.”, the department store holds an awards ceremony to recognize their best and brightest employees.
