Calculate the pH for each of the following cases in tthe titration of 50.0 mL of 0.200 M HClO (aq) with 0.200 M
KOH (aq). The ionization constant for HClO is 4.0*10^-8.
I tried to do the question but I have gotten stuck on part D and hence am unable to do E. Here are my answers so far.
(a) before addition of any KOH.
My answer: 4.05
(b) after addition of 25.0 mL of KOH.
My answer: 7.4
(c) after addition of 35.0 mL of KOH.
My answer: 6.87
(d) after addition of 50.0 mL of KOH.
I don’t know
(e) after addition of 60.0 mL of KOH.
I don’t know.
Also, my other answers could be wrong as well but I have spent so much time on the problem and now I couldn’t even tell you how to answer 2+2. I have hit a wall and any help would be greatly appreciated.
