Labor Hr Per Product is for the Multiple Production Dept Method

Department rate = Department Overhead ÷ Labor hours

Product allocation = Labor hours per product x Department rate; Add both department allocations together to obtain a total per product. I was easily able to figure out the Single Plantwide Method. But, I am not clear on whether I should be multiplying the Department Rate x the 2.9dlh and Department Rate x 2.2dlh for both Fabrication and Assembly, both Gas AND Diesel. I do not understand what the Labor Hr Per Product is for the Multiple Production Dept Method because I come up with the same answer as the Single Plantwide Method. **just a steer please**
