Charles dickens life in 3rd person

Choose a moment, episode or incident in the life of a historical figure associated with the literary and publishing culture of London between 1600 and 1960. You should base your writing on sufficient research into the person’s biography, social world and relations, and the broader social history of London at the time to allow it to be plausible. Invention at the level of dialogue and incident is inevitable but you must avoid complete fabrication. You must place your character in a documented social world. You can place your character at specific historical events only if there is no evidence that shows they were elsewhere at the time. This assignment is an exercise in creative composition based on research into documented literary and social history. You will need to consult diaries, letters and biographies if you are choosing a well-known writer.
For example, you could choose a figure associated with:
• the War of the Theatres between 1599 and 1602
• the emergence of the coffee houses between 1650 and 1700
• the early 18th century satire boom
• late 18th century political and literary radicalism
• the mid-19th century boom in serial journalism and serial novels
• modernist experiments in small presses or literary periodicals and magazines
• the paperback revolution of the 1930s to 1960s
• Caribbean and diaspora literature and publishing from the 1940s to 1960s
