to recognize the human factor in project activity completion reports. I find that with most projects there is a strong incentive in most organizations for project team members to report stronger results than warranted in the interest of looking good to the client.
Many evaluation and control techniques such as earned value will do an excellent job in answering the “what” question such as, “what is the status of the project?”, “what tasks are late?” but they do not answer the question of “Why”, “why is the project late?” “Why is the project team performing at less than optimal level?”
There are several human factors proven to be influential in project success. What are some of the main areas of monitoring and controlling human resources that need to be measured? Please explain.
