Instructions:
You will write a typed 8-10 page (double spaced, 12 point font, normal margins) paper that includes ALL of the following about the disease. You must use and cite a minimum of four references (books, scholarly journal articles, reputable health awareness institutions, etc.) using both in-text citations and a works cited page.
Introduction
History of the disease and a thesis statement

– Statistics if relevant
– Thesis statement (a sentence that explains what you will write about in the paper)
Body
Description of what the disease is (1-2 paragraphs)
– What organ system(s) does it affect
– What does it do to the tissue(s)

– Include the author(s) of the study, the institution they represent (if appropriate), and the name of the journal

Conclusion
Summarize the purpose of your paper again and wrap up the paper.
Works Cited Page (attach separately)

Grading:
You will be graded on completeness of information, ability to paraphrase and explain major ideas of pathology, treatments, and current research, ability to write in complete sentences and to structure the paper in a format that is easy to read and understand.

The assignment will have a drop box on canvas that you must deposit you paper in (word document only).
You must ALSO bring a hard copy to class on Friday December 6th. Make sure it does NOT have your name on it.
