Refer to this week’s materials focusing on the decision-making process, as well as resources shared in class and the discussion posts.

Decision: Have clients take financial education course as part of the service plan for assistance by Department of Social Services.

  • Describe and critically analyze the decision-making process addressing the following points, including at least 2 peer-reviewed sources related to the decision-making process:
  • Provide brief background and context of the problem/challenge. Clients who are elderly and/or disabled who may or may not have transportation, lack of willingness to participate, and/or issues with executive functioning.

The challenge is based on recidivism with clients with no reliable or specific long term plan and they continuing to return for financial assistance from DSS with the same issue (usually housing or bill payments)

  • What data sources were used to collect the data?
  • Was the data relevant and sufficient to analyze the issue? Why or why not?
  • What alternative options were generated?
  • What were the most challenging or difficult aspects of the decision-making process? Challenge with process is getting the support from stakeholders and managers in the organization that is beyond my control.
