everything, especially Jende, as he states he wants to, “start his own business: Jonga
Enterprises, His slogan would be “Jonga Enterprises: Bringing the Wisdom of Wall Street to
Limbe.””(352). While Neni was not as thrilled she understood why she had to do what she did

It may not have been exactly what both of them wanted but they wanted the life they

Even though Neni and Jende ideals did not match up completely; Jende wanted to come home
and Neni wanted to stay and go to Pharmacy school but both have made sel1sh decisions to get

to where they are today and they knew scking together is always beLer than being alone and;
yes their dreams and hopes were not followed by the way they hoped for but at the end it
turned out well for them. They aren’t su7ering anymore, their life may not be as hard anymore
and that was what they wanted from the beginning. Ideals change and so do people but at the
end of the day Jende saw the bene1cial side in accepng something rather than 1ghng against
it because it will turn out well at the end as it did for the Jongas.
