Julia kristeva’s ideas of abjection and horror in relation to a film of your choice

IT Movie Analysis
This movie is unique from most horror movies as it allows the audience to decide on their definition of fear. Most horror movies already decide on what fear is, for instance, a beast, a sickness, a ratio minority or social anxiety (Zinoman, 2011). The film “IT” redefines horror as a personal experience, since as children we are afraid of different things. The clown changes according to the fears of the child it has eaten, which is unique and creates a conversation to the audience about people’s understanding of fear. The movie kicks off with a tragedy in Derry. It is common for accidents to take place in cities and children to disappear. This is the reason the town has not investigated the crimes until the disappearance Georgie. His brother decides to ask his friend to help with the search for his brother since he thinks Georgie may still be alive. Understanding fear is a good thing as it helps people understand themselves better as well as come up with ways of fighting it.
Consequently, IT teaches its audience about the importance of family. The fact that Bill is willing to risk his life for his younger brother shows the strong bond they share. The disappearances have been taking place for a long time, which shows that something terrible happened to the children. Billy cares too much for his brother to let him disappear. I believe he blames himself for the disappearance of his brother because he is the one that made the boat that ends up stranded. He also believes that he is responsible for the well-being of his brother; hence, it is his duty to ensure his safety. In life, we create relationships that last for a lifetime. We depend on these people in good and bad times. This is the reason Billy calls his friends to help him with the search for his brother. It is unfortunate that in the end, they find out that Georgie is dead. IT feeds on their fear and disguises himself as Georgie to lure them in his layer. The clown sweet-talks its victims before killing them and consuming their fear. In the case of Georgie, the audience sees IT sweet talking him before it cuts off his head. The bond shown by Billy and his friend represents the relationships that are built in childhood. These are kids driven by the need to help a friend without fear of being attacked or disappearing. These traits usually change when people grow up because they think about all the things that could go bad before taking a step to offer help. The movie teaches its audience the importance of feeling like a kid. As people grow up, they still have fears, but instead of facing them, they end up running away from them…………………
