Project 3
In the previous project, you represented BallotOnline as an IT procurement manager where you selected a cloud vendor for the migration project. Later, you evaluated the cloud migration process as an IT engineer.
Now, in this final project for this course, you will continue your role as an IT engineer and prepare several deliverables for the cloud migration project, including a statement of work (SOW) and a service-level agreement (SLA). You will also perform a lab assignment in which you will test and evaluate an SLA measurement system on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
This project will help you to develop the critical skills needed by cloud computing architects to write complex requirements, establish reasonable service-level expectations, and perform technical tasks in a lab environment. Cloud computing architects must be able to perform these skills in order to be effective.
You will proceed through five steps as you define the statement of work and service-level agreement, perform a technical lab assignment, and prepare a lab report. You will submit all of these items to executive management in the final step. This project will take about three weeks to complete.
Step 1: Draft the Statement of Work (SOW)
You are an IT engineer for BallotOnline, and you have been asked by your management to prepare a draft statement of work (SOW) (see attached) for the website migration to AWS.
Use the provided statement of work template (see attached) to write a four- to five-page SOW (excluding the service-level agreement (SLA), which you will write later) that clearly articulates the requirements for the cloud migration project. I also attached some prior written supporting documents to provide more insight. They are title with “H-“.
