PROPOSAL PAPER METHODS
Question
PROPOSAL PAPER METHODS – PART THREE INSTRUCTIONSThe remaining methodology must be addressed in Part Three
of the methods section. What procedures were used to collect and analyze the data? Note: all research proposals must be quantitative in nature for the purposes of this course. If you wish to use a qualitative component, a mixed design must be used in which you do a combination of both quantitative and qualitative research. The theoretical framework for the research design (e.g., quasi-experimental, ex-post facto, single case design) must be outlined here along with empirical support for that design. Thevariables under investigation must be identified and their relationship to one another must be specified (for example: “The present study seeks to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence, as measured by the Mayer Salovey and Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test, and counselor burnout, as measured by the Counselor Burnout Inventory.”). This section of the Proposal Paper must be no more than 2 pages and must address the following:What is the research design used in the study (single case design, ex-post facto, etc.)?What is the rationale for the selected research design (from the peer-reviewed literature)? What are the limitations of the research design? What is the theoretical framework for the research design? What are the variables identified and how are they related to one another? Are all experimental procedures discussed? How do these features control for internal and external validity? This assignment is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 6
