Assignment Requirements: • 4 – 5 (four-five) double-spaced pages, 12-point font – you may use Times New Roman or Bookman Old Style font. • Double-spacing, 1” margins around each page is required. In writing your Action Plan, you are required to include these specific Section HEADERS and follow the outline guidance for each, as instructed below. I. Leadership Philosophy & Style – In this section, you should: a. First, clearly state the specific leadership philosophy(ies) and style(s), as presented in Chapter 4 of your course textbook, that will be used in the implementation of the Leadership Action Plan you believe will lead your group to successfully survive the EMP disaster. b. Next, fully analyze and discuss why you believe your specific leadership philosophy and style is relevant to the success of your plan. c. Your discussion should include an analysis of the impact your philosophy(ies) and style(s) will have on each specific member of your group, based on the information given in your specific Scenario. II. Leadership Behaviors – In this section, you should: a. Fully discuss, within the context of the scenario information, your own personal, as well as leadership, style(s) in terms of task-oriented and/or relationship-oriented behaviors (as presented in Chapter 5 of your course textbook). b. The analysis in this section of your Action Plan should include a discussion of your strategy to oversee each of the following areas of concern: i. “Rule of Law” structure & Security of the group ii. Communications iii. Shelter / Sustenance iv. Medical issues v. Economic system III. Ethical Leadership – In this section, you should: a. First, clearly state the bases of power (from those presented in Table 12.2 and discussed in pages 284-285 of your course textbook) you believe you have in this scenario and then; b. Fully discuss, with specific examples and details, how you believe your leadership power will influence your success as an ethical leader in the implementation and outcome of your Leadership Action Plan to “survive the EMP disaster.”
