A chef is making pasta and brings water in a 18cm pot to a boil. Then he places a lid on it and allows it to cool

to room temperature, 25 degrees C. Assume that no air leaks into the pot as it cools. The total mass of the pot and its contents is 3.5kg. Now the chef wants to lift the lid off the pot. Will he be able to or will the pot remain fixed to the lid and both be lifted together?
