This is a memo critique I need done attached are the guidelines Dear North Division: Today I am messaging you about our need for new employees. The company needs to have way more new hires for the company, but we are not financially stable enough for us to truly afford these new hires. That is because the new hires would require more money in their salaries to attract them to even apply. Since the company is asking for more manpower on all levels we need to make some change. It has been suggested that we advise that we are hiring people at a higher salary than we can afford. This will get us more people to job pick from and when we get people that we like we can hire them. Except we would tell them that they are not meeting “the optimal skill set we were assuming in advertising that salary.” So if they want the job they would have to take a lower salary and as they grow in the company, they will work their way up to the advertised pay scale. The decision that I have made is to advertise the appropriate grade and complete job description, then indicate that salaries will be commensurate with experience. I chose this option because I felt that we it was wrong to fully lie to the applicants. We have to think about our personal code of allowing people to negotiate for their salary. They will come into a rigged game and will not be happy knowing that the salary that was advertised was a complete lie. Here we show that we have a standard of excellence and the employee has the opportunity to match it. We show also that we follow our rules and the applicants will not give us a poor reputation due to word of mouth about our false advertising. If we lie to the applicants we lose our community values if all of the employees see the lie that we have told them while they are working with each other. This option fits with our core values because of our honesty and our ability of helping the applicants grow in their income and skills as they stay with the company. This is better for our company's future because if it got out that we lied in our employee advertisements people would not be applying as much for the jobs anyway. That would make this a strictly short term option. We are advising now in a way that will attract people that believe they are worth the time and people that can work their way up to a higher salary. This will help the company will fit a unity of life by having employees that will grow with our company. Thank you for your time
