Al-Shaykh, “The Women’s Swimming Pool” write about it
Our course blog is a special place for you to offer your open‑ended reflections on the following week’s assigned text. These reflections offer you the opportunity to think about and articulate personal/subjective questions and issues that arise as a result of your reading the text. You might start a reflection by stating whether you liked the text (or not) and why. You might reflect upon why you think an author wrote the text in the first place, i.e. what is s/he attempting to achieve? You might reflect on an author’s chosen style. You might reflect on how a given text connects to an experience that you’ve had in your own life or how a certain character reminds you of someone you know. You might reflect on a theme in the text and how it relates to your life (or not).
