Compare and Contrast Original Versions of Songs Against a Cover Version
-Pick one of the four songs listed on. Listen to BOTH versions of the song. Listen for instrumentation in each version, and describe notable changes.. Listen for lyric changes and make note of them. Listen to the overall rhythmic feel and describe differences to the best of your ability. Are there any changes to the formal structure of the song? Maybe one version cuts out verses etc… Sometimes a cover version is better than the original, and vice-versa. Tell me which version you prefer.

Difference Between Sam Phillips’ Rockabilly, and Other Rockabilly
-The term “Rockabilly†covers a wide range of music. Listen to ALL of the songs listed in the Rockabilly section and give your best description of the differences between the Rockabilly that Sam Phillips was producing at Sun Records vs. the other things that were also considered Rockabilly. This should be typed (on a separate sheet). Due Wednesday, February 6th.
