- A chemical production factory in Bahrain is emitting out harmful chemicals to the nearby water body, resulting in pollution of nearby areas. With reference to Bahrain laws what are the laws that are violated in this case. (10 marks)

As this case is related to qualify of water, therefore the following resolution is violated:
- Resolution 10 of 1999
- Resolution 2 of 2001
- Resolution 3 of 2001
The above resolution concern the environmental standards, while the factory emitting out a harmful chemical to the water body, the above resolutions is violated.
- A newly graduated engineer from a well known university in Bahrain got an opportunity to work in a refining plant in Bahrain as quality engineer. The offer was conveyed orally to the applicant. Two days after the reception of offer the applicant got a mail citing that his job offer has been retracted owing to the economic crisis that the company is facing. Can the engineer file a case in the court. Justify your answer with an appropriate Bahrain law.

The engineer cart file a case in the court against the refining company based on the below:
Law NO. 36 of 2012 state that the employment contract shall be in writing and will be written both Arabic & English , and each party will be given a copy.
In the given scenario , there is no written contract or agreement , oral offer is not accepted as per the above law.
3) Suppose that you are working as a line manager in a public organization under government in Bahrain. There is a newly recruited engineer in your department who is in his 5th month of his probation . Discuss with reference to Bahrain law the appraisal mechanism that you can conduct in your department. (cite the applicable Bahrain law and article)

Based on law NO. 48 of 2010, article 12 regarding probationary period. As the engineer is newly recruited and he is in the 5th month of his probation, the appraisal mechanism will be as follow:
As I’m a direct supervisor to the engineer, I shall closely monitor the performance of the engineers & provide the required support to him during the past 5 months. As the engineer in his 5th month, I shall submit a report to the management entity that includes the result of the employee performance appraisal and recommendation based on appraisal outcomes, and confirm the employee in his position or his termination with justification .
Before five days of probationary period end, I shall notify the employee about the decision .
