For this paper, you will write about philosophy in popular culture. Possible subjects include, but are not limited to: albums, movies, video games, television shows, songs, musicians, TV/movie stars, policies that affect popular culture, etc. I want you to connect whatever subject you choose to ideas from class. The easiest way to approach this assignment is to find an ethical dilemma or problem and analyze it by applying theories we have learned in class.

In the first part of your essay, you must choose two ethical theories that you will apply to your pop culture topic. You must explain what each theory is (making sure to reference foundational thinkers and how the theory operates). Then, you must show how this theory applies to the topic you have chosen. For example:

How does the (insert chosen pop culture reference) present an ethical position? Does it display a particular moral problem and an approach to solve it? Does that approach work? How would you solve the problem using a theory from class? If there is a lack of ethical perspective, why do you think it is missing?
How does what you have learned from class apply to your chosen topic?
Font should be 12-point Times New Roman or Cambria, double spaced, with one-inch margins. MLA citation for any references used. Minimum of 7 pages.
