Question 1, reading 10/11:
You will need to start with a short explanation of what the statement, ‘Culture is a pattern of beliefs and expectations shared by the organisational members. These beliefs and expectations produce norms that powerfully shape the behaviour of individuals and groups within the organisation.’ (Schwartz and Davis, 1981, p. 33), means in practice, giving an example either from your own experience, or from one of the case studies in the readings. You should reference your work. You will need to outline the structure of the organisation in relation to the question asked. This will then need to be related to the problematic beliefs that you feel could come out of silo working.
Question 2, reading 6:
Using the reading on stakeholders and their influence, outline who the stakeholders within ACE are and what influence they may have on the changes proposed and what their primary and secondary expectations may be.
You may use a table but this must be accompanied by some explanation and should not just be used on its own.
Question 3, reading 8:
Conduct a short SWOT analysis on ACE before the changes were made. You can use a table to do this but you should include the implications of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. In other words, what do they imply for the future of AEC?
Question 4, reading 8:
Conduct a short SWOT analysis on ACE after the changes were made. You can use a table to do this but you should include the implications of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. In other words, what do they imply for the future of AEC?
