can someone please help me understand composite functions
can someone please help me understand composite functions. I have tried watching videos upon videos to step by step guides and i am just not understanding this material. Its starting to become frustrating. So I know that you always compose right to left and f(x) is the outter and g(x) is the inner. FoG = f[g(x)] and GoF = g[f(x)]. I have tried to find calculators to help me understand these examples in order to be prepared for my test but I cant even figure these out.
For the first question a I thought it was f[x²-2x-6(-1)]=-8 but then do I input -1 in for all the x in the problem? and it already equals -8 so then how do i put this in the calculator to even solve this problem because its not like i am solving for X. I am just really confused can someone help me understand this topic please.
