Your Task:

You are required to write a 3,000 (+/- 10%) word case study report on the Practical Approach of Financial Reporting and Analysis. Your case study will based on a Bahraini Public Quoted Company called TRAFCO GROUP BSC – Financial Statements are available in the public website of the TRAFCO GROUP BSC

Your Case study will include the following

       I.            Ratio analysis covering 2016 to 2019 covering Profitability, Liquidity, Efficiency and Gearing subject to sufficient to the availability of  information and also giving assumptions used whilst calculating the ratios.

    II.            You are required to comment comprehensively on the ratios and trends

 III.            You research should compare TRAFCO to similar companies in the GCC/MENA region for Industry Comparison

  IV.            You will provide recommendations and conclusions

     V.            You will also provide the information which you may require for better analysis

GRADING:

•        The assignment will count for 40% of your final grade for this module.

 Please ensure your essay follows a logical flow and format.

 

You are required to use academic resources and e-library. Please do not cite Investopedia, Wikipedia and other unreliable websites. Please research from published academic journals and textbooks the access of which is available to you.

Structure of the Report: Task 1

The structure of the report should follow the below pattern. The entire report should be divided into meaningful paragraphs based on this structure.

  • Cover sheet which includes your name and topic

  • Introduction: Describe the idea of your project. Briefly discuss the method of data collection.
  • Methodology
  1. Definitions
  2. Data collection/ Sampling procedure.

Choose an appropriate probability sampling scheme. Provide a brief justification for your selection.

Describe the sampling frame and the method of contact you will use. Briefly explain the reasons for your choices.

State the main research question of the survey. Identify the variables associated with this question.

 

  • A table summarizing the sample data

  • Conclusion: A paragraph detailing the conclusion
  • Summary:
  1. i) Briefly summarize what you did for this project and what you found.
  2. ii) Discuss any shortcoming of the methods you used to gather data. Include response / non response bias in your report and ways to overcome them. Provide an example in which response bias occurred. State an action that you would take to address this issue.

iii) Did you discover anything that surprised you when you analyzed the data? Do you think the results would have been different if you had bigger sample sizes? If you had to do the project again, how would you do it differently?

The engineer cart file a case in the court against the refining company based on the below:

Law NO. 36 of 2012 state that the employment contract shall be in writing and will be written both Arabic & English , and each party will be given a copy.

In the given scenario , there is no written contract or agreement , oral offer is not accepted as per the above law.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3) Suppose that you are working as a line manager in a public organization under government in Bahrain. There is a newly recruited engineer in your department who is in his 5th month of his probation . Based on law NO. 48 of 2010, article 12 regarding probationary period. As the engineer is newly recruited and he is in the 5th month of his probation, the appraisal mechanism will be as follow:

As I’m a direct supervisor to the engineer, I shall closely monitor the performance of the engineers & provide the required support to him during the past 5 months. As the engineer in his 5th month, I shall submit a report to the management entity that includes the result of the employee performance appraisal and recommendation based on appraisal outcomes, and confirm the employee in his position or his termination with justification .

Before five days of probationary period end, I shall notify the employee about the decision .
