re-wording

I need help re-wording this paragraph.

Although it is classified as an illegal substance by the FDA and receives negative press constantly, there are several benefits associated with the use of medical marijuana and many are making the argument that it should be legal. As a result, those suffering from pain caused by chronic conditions should have full and unrestricted access to medical marijuana and should not have to go without this viable treatment simply because it is illegal. To suggest that someone should suffer with a painful condition while a viable treatment or relief option exists, simply on the basis of illegality for widespread recreational use, is a fundamental violation of human rights.

a billboard

For your initial post, consider a time in your life when you had to look at something a little closer to make sense of it. This moment might focus on a document (like the grocery list example from the previous screen), a longer piece of writing, a piece of art, a billboard, and so on.

argument

our argument is the main point that you are trying to make in your essay. It should clearly state your opinion on your topic. Describe the argument to be addressed in your persuasive essay and include how the argument is derived from your major, the major you are considering pursuing, or your field of work.

Below is my first sentence but I’m stuck on how to articulate my argument ; The mandatory wear of school uniforms in private and public schools are beneficial to students in relation to their education, social skills and safety.

discussion post,

In this discussion post, think about a time in your life where you tried to persuade someone to do something. Keep in mind that this doesn’t have to be a situation that was a full-blown argument—it can be something as simple as convincing a friend to go to a specific restaurant for lunch—and it doesn’t have to be a situation where you “won” the other person over either.

When you’ve come up with the moment, write two fully developed paragraphs explaining it to your classmates. In the first paragraph, describe the moment of persuasion so that your instructor and peers can “see” it. In the second paragraph, explain why you felt like that moment of persuasion was either successful or unsuccessful. What strategies or techniques did you use to try to get the person to side with you?

Attached is the reading from chapter 1 to help with this assignment, Please review rubric as well.
