Abstract

The Risky Car Company is a local and completely paper company that wants to take advantage of newer technologies in order to better serve it’s customers. It’s current filing system is adequate for day to day operations but it ‘s not very useful when it comes to gaining insight on habits and patterns of it’s customers and inventory. In order to correct this, the company wants to create a dataware house that contains details about it’s Employees, Customers, Inventory, and FInancing information, all of which would allow the company to gather important and useful knowledge.

This report will include the roles each project member undertook and what their contribution was to the project. It will detail the requirements that the company needs and show how the data was able to fulfill those requirements.

Introduction

The Risky Car Company would like to use the datawarehouse to provide accurate analysis that can increase revenue, provide risk analysis and allow them to expand in the future. At a base level, the company seeks to use the data to determine:

· High risk and low risk customers for financing

· The best selling models of vehcles (including total revenue from those vehcles)

· Yearly income from financing

· The expenditure on staff in porportion to the company income (annually)

Having the answers to these questions will allow the company to know it’s trajectory, analyse risk and allow the company to determine it’s plans for future development.

Project management

The team that will create the Data Warehouse from the Risk Car Company consists of:

GC – Business Analyst and backup for DBA

LN – Team Lead

TS – DBA and backup for Business Analyst.

ZF – Backup Team Lead and editor

Requirement analysis. This section should include description of the data sources. Demonstrate how you analyzed the requirements documented in the introduction. Make sure to identify the grain.

(What should be in the tables. We should be 4, Employee, Inventory, Financing, Customers and a SALES fact table. FK between Financing and Customer)
