Write a 1,000 – 1,200+ word character analysis of Dene Oxendene, the protagonist of Tommy Orange’s chapter excerpt, “Dene Oxendene” from his novel There There.

Explain who he is, how he got to be who he is, and how he identifies himself as a Native American.
