Introduction:
The purpose of this assignment is to analyze an organization and identify gaps and areas for improvement with nosocomial infections. The focus of this task should be on gaps in areas that will improve the quality of patient care. This is the first step in anticipating challenges that may arise and developing a plan with key stakeholders to address them.
Scenario:
You are the chief nursing officer in a large academic tertiary care center. You have been told that your organization has had an increase in nosocomial infections. As the chief nursing officer, you want to combat this problem that is impacting patient care.
Note: To complete the requirements below, you may use fictitious data or real data (if the name of the organization is changed). This task is focused on the process you would take, not the specifics of the data since this is a fictitious scenario.
Requirements:
