style=”color:rgb(5,5,5);”>I honestly believe that the relationship between an individual their environmental community is all based solely on how they were raised morally and ethically. In a sense, the social aspect of our lives has everything to do with what type of relationship we form with our community. In the city of Sacramento, we have many diverse environmental communities. In the area I grew up in, everyone was expected to act in a way to benefit the whole community. I was taught that as a community, we protected the environment we lived in and the people we existed with. Typically, if the majority of the community did not agree on some form of technology that would impact the environment, then the community would come together as a whole and deny that technology. For example, as a community, we agreed on community policing, which can be considered an environmental technology because it ultimately affects the community in a positive way. Although some did not agree with the use of law enforcement, the majority felt that the lives of our children mattered more than having law enforcement present.
