A 4 kg block resting on a flat, frictionless surface is attached to a spring with a spring constant

of 460 N/m. A 60 g

bullet is fired horizontally with a speed of 150 m/s and is embedded in the

block. How far will the spring be compressed before the block and bullet momentarily come to

rest? I know this is a energy problem but i am unable to solve and get the right answer?
