Ernst Troeltsch & William James approaches to the religious laws and how they influence morality

You will write a research paper using two of the approaches covered in the course that particularly interests you. The paper will identify a topic in the field of religious studies and then discuss how you could use the methodologies to study the relevant issues. Compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of each method.

Basically what you want to do is choose a topic and then apply the two different approaches to the topic so you can compare and contrast the understanding that each provides. Choose a particular law on which you can apply the methods.
