He does not intend to change his behavior towards his kingdom as he believes it is the best way to put his people in check. The gods Ishtar and Anu send a man who is supposed to be an equal o Gilgamesh. He is tamed to become more civilized and human so that he can fit in society. He Encounters Gilgamesh about to rape a woman and engages in a fight which he unfortunately loses. Later, Gilgamesh and Enkidu become close friends that seek adventure together. The gods are not happy with them; hence, they decide to kill Enkidu. Gilgamesh decides to go exploring for immortality but does not find. He is instead advised to live life to the fullest.
Part 2
Gilgamesh is a character that is developed as the story unfolds. He is part human, hence expected to have flaws. He obtains his qualities through his adventures as it shows him ways of treating his kingdom. In the beginning, he is seen as self-righteous and selfish and is involved in violent acts such as rape. However, he becomes friends with Enkidu; he is seen as a hero. He is loyal to his friendship with Enkidu and treats his friend with respect and perseverance. It is impressive that his experiences lead him to become a better person who is righteous, excellence and goodness. The changes show that it is possible to change one’s character no matter the sins that have been committed.
