Insights:
Ge Huazhi has always been calm during the interviewing process. In his mind, a doctoral student is just a way to explore knowledge, and his career is also used to doing research. He doesn’t have much “desire” for career planning.
We were surprised on his placid mind statement in the money. For him, PhD is a career that can give him chance to meet more people with same interests and keep studying in the professional field. International students pay for expensive tuition fees and they can’t go out for work, if international students, especially PhD can have higher wage, it will help their life a lot.
Initial needs and insights:
As an international PhD student, he needs better salary and more resources — especially the resources open to international students.
