RESIT 2 ASSESSMENT FOR PTRL II.I LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT
-Students are expected to perform two Individual final assesment on below topic
-Assessment should include four part : Introduction, Chapters (1 and 2) , Conclusion and Discussion and References
-Deadline for the Assessment 22ND June 2020 by email
– Minimum of 1750 words
-Assignments delivered later than 22ND of June will be marked 0
TOPIC “ AN ASSESSMENT OF THE LOGISTICS TRADE OFFS AND CUSTOMER ORDER DECOUPLING POINTS IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN”
-In the assessment the parts must be;
Introduction:
-Introduction of the trade-off and order decoupling points concepts/definition
Chapter 1
-In Chapter 1 of the Assessment, Students have to discuss a minimum of four different trade-offs within and/or between logistics functions
-In Chapter 1 of the Assessment, Students have to discuss the effects of trade-offs on three logistics costs (Transport-Inventory-Warehousing) and two service level factors (Availability-Response Time) also.
Chapter 2
In Chapter 2 of the Assessment, Students have to discuss a minimum of four different decoupling points in Supply Chains
-In Chapter 2 of the assessment, Students have to discuss the effects of customer order decoupling points on three logistics costs (Transport-Inventory-Warehousing) and two service level factors (Availability-Response time) also.
Conclusion and Discussion
Students will be expected to bring their own conclusions on the criticality of trade-offs and order decoupling points which affects logistics operational costs and service factors
