- Consider the BCG Matrix. Name a healthcare product or service for each cell and explain why you believe that it goes there. (3 Pages)
- Explain the four branding strategies discussed in the text. Give a different, specific healthcare example of an institution using a branding strategy for each strategy. Preferably use examples from the U.A.E. However, you may resort to examples obtained through research or using the Internet. In a few sentences, explain how the specific healthcare institution uses a particular branding strategy. (2 Pages)
- A physician decided to leave a large physician practice because of philosophical differences in treatment practices (he believed in a more holistic approach than his colleagues) and strike out on his own. He developed a plan for a holistic treatment facility in which he would still be available to see patients part-time but he would also have a physician’s assistant who could see patient’s under his auspices full-time while he managed the practice. He hired a chiropractor, a massage therapist, and an athletic trainer. He then leased a facility within which he housed his practice, set-up a training room, and opened up a retail store to sell health drinks, vitamins, and other health foods. Consider the eight pricing strategies discussed in Chapter 9 (pp. 303-307). Select six of these eight pricing strategies and discuss how each of the six might be applied within the physician’s new endeavor.(2 Pages)
