Research Proposal for Sylvan Learning
This marketing proposal focuses on a Sylvan Learning center located in Springfield, Ohio. The main focus is to market this center to neighborhood schools and local organizations. Marketing will be done via:
on site presentations, direct mailings, flyers, and sponsored informational events. The company?s message is to promote their personal approach to teaching kids how to learn, believe in their abilities, and
achieve great things. The market niche of Springfield, Ohio is yet untapped and this presents a perfect opportunity for Sylvan Learning to show why it is the strongest brand, at 94%, in the tutoring industry
(Sylvan Learning, 2013). The marketing plan will outline the objectives, market analysis and the intended markets for the business.
The company must present its services and products to create an understanding of the business for the consumer. Miller & Miller (2007) emphasizes that ?perception is how a consumer views a company and
promotion is the key element that presents the company to the consumer?. In the competitive tutoring market, Sylvan Learning Center needs to discover new ways to attract and retain customers and partners.
Solutions that will:
? Maintain a competitive advantage
? Retaining customers
? Engage new customers
? Differentiate their product and company
? Create new opportunities for revenue
