(((This problem was I was pressured to lie or withhold facts during a disciplinary hearing for two employees that were accused of a serious work place rules violation. I notified the investigating officer that I did not have any information to support the company’s case against the employees, but he insisted on calling me as a company witness against the employees. I gave truthful and honest answers and the employees were found innocent of the charges. My director then gave me a bad year-end performance review citing my testimony as not “being a team player and not looking out for the companies best interests. I then threatened to notify the company executive staff of the performance review and the director changed the review to acceptable. He then made my job much harder for the next 2 years and we had a very bad manager-director relationship)))).
