Question

I’m studying Neuroscience and Psychology.  style=”color:rgb(51,51,51);”>I’ve been asked what a person’s visual performance would look like in various scenarios: 1) if they damaged the magnocellular pathways in the right hemisphere. 2) if they damaged the parvocellular pathways in the left hemisphere. 3) if they damaged the dorsal pathway of the left hemisphere.
I understand the functions of these different areas, and therefore what would be lost/changed if they were damaged. My question is: if the damage was only in one side of the brain, would this change affect total vision or only vision in the right/left visual field that correlates with that specific hemisphere?Ie, for number 3: would the patient experience total loss of spatial understanding because of the damage to the dorsal pathway, or only partial loss because the damage was only in the left hemisphere?Thanks!
