NUR 211 COVID 19 Impact on our live

The world currently in 2020 is dealing with the pandemic known as the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The effects of this virus are causing direct effects in our lives and communities. The goal of this project is to enlighten students on the coronavirus itself, what a pandemic is, how pandemics effect communities, and how such effects translate into changes in nursing care.
Expectations
Students should develop a 7-10 page research paper on (COVID-19). The paper should be APA format with no less than 4 scholarly references. Each paper should answer at least the following questions:

• What is the (COVID-19) and its prevalence in the community
• What is a pandemic
• How does the (COVID-19) compare in at least three areas to a previous pandemic (of your choice)
• What effects do pandemics and the (COVID-19) have on hospitals and nursing care specifically. Provide at least two examples of effects resulting in changes in nursing care.

This experience meets the following NUR 211 Course Objectives.
The learner will:

• Be able to respond to situations with an awareness of the values, attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs important to professional nursing; communicate professionally and effectively
• Provide opportunities for enhanced awareness of community needs, problems, and interventions
• Increase appreciation of potential roles for nurses in the community and society
• Incorporate (appreciate) certain inherent values of nursing, including integrity, empathy, self-motivation, self-confidence, teamwork and diplomacy, respect, and client advocacy
