Obesity and weight loss with males

Obesity has become a key medical problem in the world today. This is because of the high consumption of fast food, which is highly rich in fats and people lack to do exercise. Overweight and obesity are often associated with chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart diseases among other diseases. With recent years, the statistics show that obesity in male has increased this is because they lack to regulate their weight and this lead to overweight (Chong et al, 2018). It often happens with impulsive decision-making where a male decides to go to gym at particular time but when that time comes, he changes to go to club instead. This has become a bigger challenge in the world due to complex decisions that people make in their lives and end up making mistakes.

Impulsive can play an important role when it comes to health concern but when it is accompanied by complex decision making it becomes dysfunctional. For example when someone decides not to eat fast food and adhere to it, there will be no overweight hence no obesity. However, when he goes against the decision and eats fast food without any exercise then it leads to overweight then obesity that is accompanied by many health disorders. The change in decision-making behavior alters many things in your body (Pooseh et al, 2018). The impulsivity relates to self-regulation and how to make personal decisions. Male has lower performance on cognitive measuring impulsivity in their childhood stage and when they reach an adolescence stage, several changes is observe in behavioral change, cognitive change and brain change. The cognitive impulse in decision making among males may lead to many mistakes. For instance not taking into consideration their weight and the way they consume their food without considering their future. Different people come up with different answers concerning weight loss because of their different cognitive thinking and decision-making. It is good that we choose the alternative rather than impulsive while deciding on weight loss but it has become difficult because the person wants to go with impulsive decisions because it is an easy way.

Impulsivity may lead to more consequences in the future because you are doing thing in different way than how you have plan. For instance, you consume food that causes overweight mainly because they are tasty and already prepared without even considering what will happen after that. This has become a bigger challenge with male in today’s generation because they are doing something out of their minds. They do not consider what will happen to them thereafter. Many diseases are caused by overweight and lack of exercise in today’s world and they do not consider it. When every male makes a good decision to lose weight then the cases of obesity will reduce and many health condition problems will reduce (Chong et al, 2018). It is all about cognitive decision making when the decision is simple you are going to achieve good things but when you make your decisions to be more complex then you are making it worse. When people choose their decisions rather than impulsive decision when it comes to weight loss then the results will be good. On many occasions, impulsivity is associated with psychological distress in human community and this will lead to many problems at the end of it all.

There are the increasing policies that help to address the avoidable liability of unhealthy diet, obesity and overweight. These policies need to understand why people are consuming unhealthy diet that leads to overweight and later obesity and even risk of losing many people. People consume unhealthy food because of ignorance. Someone has the idea that when I consume fast food it leads into gaining weight and with time someone becomes overweight and then causes some health problem conditions in their body. Eating an unhealthy diet leads to less weight loss instead, it increases it hence causes obesity. The research shows that male that consume a lot of unhealthy diet end up having short life spun because of many disorders that happen in their bodies. This is all caused by the decision that we made when consuming food. Many studies show that most people consume unhealthy diet compare to those consume a healthy diet.

The use of delay gratification in making the decision, lead to getting a good reward. For instance when someone decides not to consume fast food that leads to overweight and the end of it all he is going to enjoy good health. Many studies reveal that male wants instant results rather than delay gratification. When it comes to exercise after eating food that contains a lot of fast they fail to do so. According to psychologists, many people in the world today prefer to choose instant rewards rather than delay gratification and this has become a bigger challenge in today’s world. Many believe that the impulsivity of choosing to eat already made food rather than delay gratification of weight reduction is the best because they will not waste any time in cooking the food. They find it fun to consume food that is ready because the reward is immediate than cooking food of delay gratification of weight reduction that will reward them in future. Another thing is that males tend to eat food any time they come across food this is because of our brain setup instead of waiting to eat food in the time that is required. We eat because we want immediate rewards we do not consider what will happen in future.

Delay gratification in the reduction of weight is observed when someone decides to have a good health body weight rather than to eat candy food. However, the bigger problem is that candy food is readily available and they require no time to prepare compared to health food for weight reduction that requires a lot of time to be prepared hence people tend to make poor decisions of choosing immediate reward over the delay in gratification (Korb et al, 2019). If we make good decisions when it comes to food we consume we tend to reduce many diseases that are associated with overweight and we will end up getting the longer reward. People tend to go for smaller reward that requires less time rather than bigger reward that requires more time. The studies show that people choose to take smaller reward because they want to consume food that is tasty and this food highly reaches in calories and they are ready food rather than food that are not tasty which help in reduction of weight. If people could modify and accept to consume a delayed gratification weight reduction food then they will be more successful weight loss and the cases of obesity and other diseases that are associated with overweight will be reduced.

The decisions that we make in our lives concerning the food we consume determine the future health of our bodies. If we decide to consume the readily available food that gives us the immediate reward without considering the consequences, then we will end up having many health issues that are caused by overweight (Korb et al, 2019). Nevertheless, if we decide to choose delay gratification in the reduction of weight loss then we will have no health issues that are associated with weight. The study shows that when people decide to consume readily available food because it requires less time, in future they will use a lot of time and money when looking for treatment for the diseases that they ignore the time the needed immediate reward. According to research, despite the stronger intention of weight loss among overweight people and obese people in United States of America they do not meet the required recommendation for vegetables and fruits consumption because they have not used it. They end up making impulsive decisions of consuming sugary food again and they end up doing nothing with the weight loss decisions.

Carrying physical activities like running, joking among others is a way of reducing the weight in males and avoiding overweight and obesity. The physical activities depend on the decision of someone if he decides to do so then he will get bigger reward because of delay gratification of weight loss. Besides, if the person decides not to do any physical exercise then the reward is there and he should be ready to face the problem that is associated with lack of physical exercise. The cognitive mind of individual is the one that helps him to decide well to either have immediate reward or wait for the reward after sometimes. With the physical exercise and good consumption of food, the health problems that are associated with the bodyweight will reduce eventually.

Decision making in weight loss as an individual counts more in body health. If the person decides to adhere to all rules of weight loss and fit maintenance, he will end up having more benefits within himself. What you decide as a person on what to consume is a direct determining factor of the results you will get pertaining your health. According to psychologists, the decisions that people make on body weight loss are limited (Dassen et al, 2018). This is because they do not want to spend time doing something like physical exercise, consuming food that is of good diet. This is also the reason why the rate of the obesity cases in the world is increasing especially among the male. When someone makes a good decision pertaining the weight loss, he will end up having a good reward because he is avoiding bodyweight health complications. Moreover, if he decides not to adhere to weight loss because of impulsive decision-making he will end up regretting his life because he will spend a lot of time in the future seeking the treatment.

People know exactly the food that is healthy and those that are unhealthy, which leads to obesity but they end up ignoring because of impulsive decisions. In the decision making model of delay gratification, the first model of rational economic model when the economy is high the people tend to plan well the food that consumes and this helps so much they will focus on weight loss because they consume less food. In an environment where food is cheap and readily available, people tend to eat over leading to obesity (Arum et al, 2018). The second model is intuition model where when someone is in where the food is present the stimuli of anger are stimulated leading to overeating hence overweight and obesity. However, when the person is not there with food the stimuli of anger are not their hence delay gratification in weight reduction is observed. With these models of decision-making, it can lead to impulsive or delayed gratification decision.

Some people use food to self-sooth themselves from some emotional feelings. This happens because of decision that someone made. If he thinks and decides that when he eats a lot of food he will feel relieved if he was stress (Simon, 2018). From young age people believe that when you eat food you self-sooth yourself. Food is often associated with good times and celebration hence people consume food to make themselves comfortable from some problems. Mostly the food that people eat to self-sooth themselves is fast food because they are readily available and they end up gaining a lot of weight hence leading to obesity. Because it is a norm behavior, it is difficult for an individual to forego food when they have emotions.

Decision-making is everything when it comes to weight loss. When someone decides wisely then he will benefit. When another one decides without considering the consequences then he will regret it in future. Other people are comfortable with the capacity of food they consume. Some people self-soothe themselves when they consume a lot of food (Baron & Culnan, 2019). They do not even care about gaining weight and ending up being obese, they are comfortable with all kind of food they consume. It is all about the decision that you made as a person. If you find that losing, weight is not necessary you end up feeling comfortable eating candy food. In addition, if you care about your body and your body health then you will end up eating food with regulations because you do not want health problems that are caused by the food.
