Nermal the Nerd is a world figure in genetics and has specialized in agricultural applications in producting GMO foods. He is so into his work that he refuses to eat any foods that are not GMO’s he has produced.

You are a forensic biologist and have been called to investigate Nermal’s death. He was found at his lab bench dead. Upon examination you notice two striking things. One the scleras of his eyes are a bright yellow-orange. He has a single 1 inch wide stab wound to his back right upper quadrant, but there is no bleeding around the wound. On the floor leading away from Nermal are several drops of blood.

Discuss how your are going to use the evidence to determine Nermal’s cause of death and who might be an assailant.
