The victors in World War I wanted Germany to pay for, what in their

mind, was Germany’s role in starting the conflict. As a result, Germany was severely punished for its actions in that conflict. Ultimately these conditions, coupled with economic depression, would birth the conditions by which Germany would remilitarize and turn to fascism. What do you see as the major appeal of fascism to many in Europe given the conditions experienced around the end of WWI going into WWII?
