Thesis Statement A thesis statement almost always goes in your introduction. It is your way to communicate not only your argument to your reader, but how you will approach this argument. A thesis statement consists of two parts: the argument and the follow-up. The follow-up is very important in regards to the argument because the follow-up provides more detail and gives your reader an overall idea of the organization of your paper. Right now, you don’t necessarily have a thesis statement. Your argument seems to revolve around the problems of how bodies are portrayed in fashion and how that negatively effects our culture. However, you don’t necessarily state this out right in the introduction.
