Please take the facts listed below to write a professional message to report unethical behavior in the workplace. It is apparent that the Vice President is having an intimate relationship with the Assistant Director within is reporting structure. AD has received several promotion while under the direct leadership of the VP. AD is obsessive and overly observant with VP’s daily activities. Her mode changes based on VP. Personal relationship has been going on for a couple of years. The both were married and had affairs on their spouses. They are now both divorced, although VP still pretends that he is still happily married. AD is still in his reporting structure. After VP’s final divorce hearing on 8/22, both VP and AD took the next day off to celebrate together. This relationship is a conflict of interest which impairs the confidence of the other Officers and Management members within the VP’s reporting structure. There is no trust in his ability to objectively and fairly make decisions. VP and AD are viewed as deceitful liars. Clearly, the AD is given preferrential treatment and not held to the same standards as all other AD’s within Insurance Operations. She has not been held accountable for failures within her areas of responsibility. Creates an uncomfortable environment due to the constant flirting. VP and AD take PTO days together, took a week long vacation together, come in late and leave early together. Their relationship is a distraction for other Officers, Managers, and associates within and outside of Insurance Operations.(including peer companies). There is a fear of retaliation as VP appears to be untouchable. VP has friendships with executive leadership and with HR. There is no confidence that reporting this behavior will be taken seriously. VP and AD text each other all day long. Not only about intimate and personal subjects to also to disparage and divulge confidential information regarding other management members. AD is used as a mole for VP to keep harm from himself and AD uses VP as a weapon against her direct manager and peers. The character of both leaders is questionable and vindictive. Act is if they are above the rules. Arrogant. Former AD saw inappropriate text messages between VP & AD and was quickly terminated therafter, although the reason was said to be for “age discrimination”. Interesting. The perception is that the Company is fully aware of this relationship and has taken no action to remedy the situation, which calls into question the credibility and intergrity of the Company. As an Officer, the VP is contracted to be an ethical leader and clearly has not been taking his role seriously.
