Weekly Reflections/Journaling

For class sessions 2-6, students are expected to write a brief reflection “paper” (1 to 1 ½ page) that addresses connections between their practicum experiences and weekly course content (readings, web-based learning, class discussions). The reflection must be uploaded prior to the start of class. Students can include parenthetical citations within the text, but are not required to provide a reference list. These reflections should demonstrate critical engagement with concepts, practice models, and field experiences. This assignment requires thoughtful consideration of evolving personal and professional views informed by:

Is this approach applicable with individuals/families/communities from oppressed and/or marginalized groups?
3) What are the controversies surrounding this approach, topic or theory?
4) Is the approach compatible with our recovery orientation and applicable with individuals

social, economic, and legal environment where people are served?
