According to Deloitte, several companies are redesigning their employeeperformance evaluation process. The aim is to develop a simpler performance managementprocess that focuses more on development.If your company is experiencing any of these characteristics, then it is about time you redesignedyour employee performance evaluation:i.The company utilizes a performance evaluation process that incorporates individualrankings and ratings based on competencies not fitting every job.ii.Managers perform by directing and telling, something that is projected in theemployees’ process.iii.The evaluation process is too administrative and lengthy such that the managers nevercomplete their duties in a timely manner.iv.The performance management process is not tied up to the company’s big picture(“Reinventing Performance Management”, 2017)When re-engineering the employee performance, there are several issues that need to beaddressed.
