The relationship between leadership and ethical standards.
The relationship between leadership and ethical standards is that leadership is a position that a person is put into and ethical standards is something that a person possesses. In order to be a good leader they must have good ethical standards. Those in a leadership role are look up to and if they are not making ethical decisions then the people that are looking up to that person will in turn not make ethical decisions or will be forced to act unethically.
2. How does advancements in technology complicate or simplify this relationship? According to the textbook, Up until now, technology and its efficiencies have shaped the modern horizon of thought and efforts to exhort people to behave “ethically” have had limited impact. A technology that I read about would be green power (green electricity). Green power is a subset of renewable energy and represents those renewable energy resources and technologies that provide the highest environmental benefit. EPA defines green power as electricity produced from solar, wind, geothermal, biogas, eligible biomass, and low-impact small hydroelectric sources.
