How does advancements in technology complicate or simplify this relationship? 

Technology is universal, it’s transforming almost everything that we do, and the pace of change is only accelerating. But for all that progress, technology is often not as simple and dependable as what it replaced. It should be helping us live better lives and get more done, but instead it can become very frustrating. One example is Google Maps which was created to provide accurate map of the world, but because it was constantly changing, it created a huge data problem. This issue was resolve by the used of satellite imagery and aerial photography. Google hide all that complexity from us the users, giving us a simple map that we can drag around and interact with directly. They also eliminated as many of the controls and buttons possible, and made the map itself the product, simplifying that enormous data complexity into a product that we can easily use.
