Purpose of document: To inform readers on the day-to-day life as an employee at one of the leading gaming companies in the U.S.

Audience and purpose statement: The purpose of this document is to summarize the key points found in the original article.

Intended use of document: The intended use of this document is for readers to get a snippet of the original article including all the main ideas.

Information needs:

Technical background: Tech savvy, technology consumer

Cultural considerations: This is a short and concise summary of life as a gaming company employee.

Probable questions: Are other top gaming companies offering similar perks to their employees?

Probable reaction: Approved

Audience Preferences about the Document

Length and detail: Brief, concise, includes all details from the original article for complete clarity and understanding

Format and medium: For the primary audience a summary can be included at the beginning of the article. For the secondary audiences notes can be used throughout the article throughout the article.

Tone: Informal, optimistic, business-driven

Due date and timing: Immediately following end of the article

Budget: The budget for this summary will be kept to a minimum.

Twitch began as an online platform for users to express themselves live, broadcasting what they wanted to the world. However, due to increase of viewers and gaming live streams, the Twitch gaming partnership was born. Twitch’s success is due to a very simple concept, understanding and appealing to all employees. Not only is the work environment pleasing for today’s tech savvy workers, it is also appealing to those with inexperience in handling technology. Being able to watch your favorite television series or play your favorite video game online sounds like heaven, but it takes specific traits to be selected to become part of the Twitch Team. Not only will flexibility and personality be enough but allowing the entertainment revolution to become part of your everyday life is what gets your foot in the door.
