Psychobiography: Final Reflection on Theories of Personality

Theories of personality search for answers to explain human behavior. This field of psychology asks questions about human beings, such as why and how humans differ, how much they differ, and whether these differences are consistent. Can differences be measured? How do cultural differences account for behavioral differences?

You have explored several theories of personality in this course and examined how they propose to explain personality. What was your perception of theories of personality at the beginning of the course? Has your perception changed? What insights have you gained from this course that will help you better understand theories of personality, yourself, and your personal and professional relationships?

In this Assignment, you will review the theories of personality and reflect on their effectiveness and applicability in explaining human behavior and understanding personality.

To prepare, review the Learning Resources for the course and reflect on the different theories of personality to which you have been introduced. Think about how you would apply these theories in your personal and professional life.

3- to 5-page APA- formatted reflection paper that addresses the following:

• A discussion of your “before and after” understanding of theories of personality.
• A reflection on which theory you found most effective for understanding human behavior and which you found least effective.
• An explanation of four key takeaways from this course that you can apply to better understand yourself and your professional and/or personal relationships.

Remember that this is a personal reflection, but it still needs to demonstrate your exploration and learning of the week’s topics. Be specific, and provide examples.
