a. Compute the Pearson correlation, r, for this data set.
EX = 15 EY = 20 EX^2 = 55 EY^2 =120 EXY = 80
SSX = 55 – (15^2/5) = 10
SSY = 120 – (20^2/5) = 40
SP = 80 – (15)(20)/5 = 20
r = 20/(10)(40)^.5 = 1
b. Re-arrange the Y scores so that the value of r = -1.00.
